The Project Files Series contains photographs from projects undertaken throughout Aker's professional career. Arranged chronologically from 1980-2008, files are described by their job numbers, client names, and project title.

Scope and Contents From the Series: The Photographs series is one of the strongest in the HWCA collection. The photographs in this series depict various events and artwork for exhibitions sponsored by the Caucus. Within the subseries, the items are arranged chronologically according to event or exhibition. Dates in brackets are estimates based on the location of the photograph in the original arrangement. Scope and Contents From the Series:

Contains materials related to Long’s exhibitions, artworks, and projects files. These materials are interspersed and reflect the original order of the collection. Photographs, clippings, correspondence, financial documents were not separated from these files. This series contains documentation related to Bert Long’s exhibitions, auctions, and events as well as the creation of his art works.

Photographs of individual people are arranged alphabetically by last name. 19 oversize photographs are housed in Box 86.

Scope and Contents From the Series: Although most of the correspondence is organized by correspondent, some of the correspondents could not be determined. Correspondence that is primarily photographs can be found in the Photographs series, but some photographs can also be found in this series. Folders labelled “Unknown Correspondence” primarily contain hand written letters or notes to Bert Long in which the correspondent could not be determined. Scope and Contents From the Collection:

This collection consists of prints acquired by University of Houston Libraries Special Collections over the course of the department's existence. As available, description of each print includes title, artist, date, donor or provenance, and whether they are part of a larger work. Prints with little to no contextual information include a brief description of the image.

Scope and Contents From the Collection: Vitae folders are arranged alphabetically, according to the last name of the individual. Each card contains information (education, date of birth, brief employment history, and sometimes a photograph) for people employed by the University of Houston. Some of the folders also contain newspaper clippings associated with that individual. For example, the folders relating to Paul Chu contain numerous newspaper articles associated to his research in the area of superconductor material....
